PABA (Para Benzoic Acid) is a non protein amino acid that can be found virtually anywhere in nature. It is not really well known in the community because PABA is not really a vitamin but it was classified as a vitamin because its components are similar to the vitamin b family. It has been considered to be responsible for making some of the processes of the body easier but it has not really been proven that it is a factor for making Folacin. This is the reason why most scientists do not really consider PABA as one of the best vitamins that everyone should be conscious of unlike other vitamins such as vitamin C or vitamin A.
PABA however is mostly used as one of the main ingredients in sunscreens. It can protect the skin from the harmful ultraviolet rays that come from the sun. This is because it has the ability to absorb the UVB rays. It has not been established though if it somewhat helps in protecting the skin from UVA rays which is something that is often critiqued against most sunscreens.
PABA has been found to fight free radicals that may cause certain diseases and aging. It has been proven to reduce the onset of wrinkles and dark spots. Some even say that it can prevent hair from turning gray and is useful overall with protecting your hair’s health. This is why it’s often recommended as one of the vitamins for hair loss prevention along with many others. It has also been used to treat depression because according to research, depressed people treated with PABA vitamins become relatively happier after some time. It can also help reduce fatigue and stress.
Some doctors recommend the intake of PABA to those people who want to build muscles or lose weight. This is because it has the ability to eliminate loose electrons that might contribute to making body building and losing weight harder than normal. Also, PABA can help reduce the inflammation of bones and muscles and has also been used to treat rheumatic fever.
You can find PABA vitamin in many foods such as eggs, spinach and whole grains. Also, it’s actually made in small quantities by the bacteria flora in our large intestine. Theirs of course also many supplements available on the market that contain paba vitamins!
Although there are no toxic levels yet recorded about the intake of PABA, it is still strongly recommended that you consult your physician first for the proper dosage. The dosages vary according to the age and weight of the patient and it might be crucial if there is a mistake with the dosage use. Also, take note that the intake of PABA is not recommended for long term use.
