Hummus recipe is a poplar dips among Middle Eastern region. Mostly dips made with hummus are served with pita bread and even mix with other quinoa recipes making it a great dish or appetizer. You need to prepare the following ingredients if you want make your hummus recipe and these are 1 can of garbanzo beans or chickpeas, cup of liquid taken from the can of chickpeas, 3 to 5 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon tahini, 2 cloves of crushed garlic, teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoons olive oil.
Once you gather all these ingredients then you are now ready to prepare your recipe. First you need to drain the chickpeas and set aside the liquid from the can. Using blender mixes the other ingredients and then add the set aside liquid from the can. Blend it altogether for about 3 to five minutes until smooth and mix thoroughly. Put the mixture in a bowl and create a shallow well at the center. Then add olive oil at the shallow well and you can even garnish it with parsley. You can now served it with fresh or warm pita bread then cover it later and put it in a fridge. For some added variation you can make your hummus spicier too by adding some red chile or cayenne pepper. You can also refrigerate the hummus for 3 days then just add some olive oil if it gets drier.
